Predict the seat that will win the game and you could be in for a chance of the main prize in our Poker Bet table game.

What Is Pokerbet?

Pokerbet is based on a Texas Holdem Poker themed game. The object of the game is to predict the seat that will win the overall Poker hand throughout various stages of the game. The game takes place over 4 betting rounds with each seat showing odds dependent on the chance it has of winning the hand after the final card is dealt. These odds change at the start of each round to reflect the impact of new cards that have been dealt or revealed since the last round.

In Pokerbet, the best combination of two unique hole cards (two specific cards dealt to each seat at the start of a game) and five community cards (cards shared by all seats drawn in the middle of the table) are used to form five-card poker hands. Any combination of two hole cards and the five community cards can be used, ie:

  • Both the hole cards and three of the community cards.
  • One of the hole cards and four of the community cards.
  • Neither of the hole cards and all five community cards.

Only 5 cards are used to make a hand. Identical hands result in a split win and are not decided by the 6th or 7th card.

How To Play Pokerbet

Placing Bets
Begin by selecting your chips from the chip selector and lay them in a BET zone adjacent to the seat you wish to bet on. You can stack different chips on the same zone to create your desired stake. You can bet on as many seats as you like. Press DEAL CARDS to submit the stakes and begin the next round. You can skip betting on any round by simply pressing DEAL CARDS without laying any chips.

The 4 betting rounds that take place reflect the betting rounds that usually take place during a game of Texas Holdem Poker:

  • Betting Round 1 – Deal At the start of the game, 2 hole cards are dealt facedown to each of the seats at the table. Each seat has an equal chance of winning at this stage, and this is reflected in the odds.
  • Betting Round 2 – Hole Cards The hole cards of all seats are revealed at the start of the round, and the odds are changed to reflect the chance each seat had of winning the hand.
  • Betting Round 3 – Flop The 3 flop cards (community cards shared by all seats) are dealt into the centre of the table at the start of this round, and the odds on each seat are changed to reflect the impact the flop cards have had on the chance it winning.
  • Betting Round 4 – Turn The turn card (4th community card) is dealt alongside the flop cards at the start of this round, and the odds on each seat are changed to reflect the impact turn cards have had on the chance of it winning.
  • Settlement - River The river card (5th and final community card) is dealt at this stage to reveal the final result of the hand!

A star always highlights the seat with the best chance of winning.

Seats that have no chance of winning will automatically fold and you will be unable to place further bets on them.

Split Win
On occasion, there may be more than one seat that holds the same winning poker hand. This is equivalent to a shared pot in Texas Holdem Poker, and is handled differently to a standard win. In the event of a split win, the return on each winning seat will be divided by the total number of winning seats before being added to your balance. This is clearly indicated on the table and in the message window.

Collecting
You should play each game to completion (After the River card is drawn) at which point any winnings will be automatically added to your account. Winning seats will be paid out to the odds x the stake at the time the bet was placed. If you placed more than 1 winning bet on the same seat in different rounds the winnings will be combined.

If you leave the pokerbet table or in the event of a disconnection your previous game state will be saved and you may resume the game upon returning.

Message Window
The message window in the bottom left of the game screen has two functions, Game Info and Current Bets. The GAME INFO tab at the bottom of the screen displays regular information on gameplay, such as round information and details of winning seats.

Under the CURRENT BETS tab is a table listing the profit for each seat that you have bet on during the current game. This amount will be added to your balance at the end of the game if the relevant seat wins outright. However, if a split win occurs then returns will be divided and the profit values will change.

The current round is displayed above the message window.

Other Game Buttons
Selecting CLEAR will remove any unconfirmed chips from the table.

Clicking on the REPEAT BETS button will place the same chips as your previous bet on the same seat(s).

To view your previous bets select BET HISTORY from the OPTIONS menu in the header bar.

Hand Description and Rankings
Within Pokerbet any combination of two hole cards and the five community cards can be used. Certain hands beat others, with a Royal straight Flush beating any hand. Winning hands are also decided by higher face values, eg: a pair of 5's beats a pair of 3's. A 'Kicker' is also used to determine winning hands. For instance if two seats hold identical two pairs then the seat with the highest 5th card is the winner. If the 5th card is the same the win is split. Kickers only apply to four-of-a-kind, three-of-a-kind, two pair, one pair, and high card situations. As in Texas Hold 'Em there is no suit ranking in Pokerbet.
