Fantastic League is a virtual football league with a season lasting 2 hours with 132 matches. Each game lasts 3 minutes with plenty of betting opportunities before the match and in half time. When the games start one of the games will be shown live in the window via a virtual feed.
How to place a bet
1) Select the bets tab within the window to the middle and choose which market you would like to bet on.
2) Select the selections you would like to place a bet on, to de-select the selection click it again.
3) Now press the 'Go to Betslip' button.
4) You will now be shown a list of selections that you chose, enter a stake by typing it into the box on the right hand side or click within the box and choose your stake from the stake selections at the top.
If you would like to bet on multiples choose the 'Multiples' tab and enter the stake the same as a single bet. From this tab you will be able to select Accumulator and other multiple bets.
If you keep clicking the stake selections it will increase you stake by that amount. The minimum bet is 0.25p on singles and 0.09p on multiples the maximum bet depends on your selection, if you stake too much a message will appear telling you what the maximum stake is for your selection.
If you would like to remove all bets click 'Clear All'. To Remove 1 selection click the 'Trash Can' next to the selection.
Your total stake will be shown at the bottom of the slip, this will update as you enter or change your stake.
5) Once you have finished choosing your stake press the 'Place Bets' Button to place your bets*.
6) You will then be displayed with your bet history and a list of the bets you have placed.
(*Note that once you have placed a bet and it is accepted , the bet cannot be cancelled.)

Bets
Match Bets- Bets that occur during whole match.

This market closes just before the beginning of the first half of the match.
Second-Half Bets: - Bets on the events that occur in the second half of the match.
Please see 'Betting Opportunities and Outcomes - Second Half' table for betting opportunities.
This market closes just before the beginning of the second half of the match.
League Bets- Bets on the outcome of the whole season.
This market closes just before the start of a match, and reopens with new odds after the end of the match.

After the last match of a season, the market will not reopen until the new season has opened.
Future- Match and Second-half Bets can be placed on future games while a match is in progress. Click on a future week button in the top right of the game to show the betting options for the matches in that week. League Bets, however, are closed for all weeks during match play, as the odds are updated based on each result.

The League
League Format
The League: Fantastic League is currently based on the rules and regulations of the English Premier League. 12 teams play against each other twice (home and away), giving a total of 132 matches per season. Each season is played over a two hour period and begins on the hour.
Seasons: Each season is divided into 22 "weeks", during which each team plays one match. These six matches are played simultaneously. All matches can be bet on (click on the League tab to see the live results), but only one match will be broadcast on video. This match will be marked with the camera icon. It is not currently possible to select which match is shown.
Matches: Whether broadcast or not, each match lasts 5 minutes. The broadcast video includes the following segments: Intro-------->Preamble---->1st Half ------> Half Time---> 2nd Half-----> Post Match15 Sec 45Sec 90sec 30sec 90Sec 30sec
The Intro and Preamble present information on the teams, odds, etc. It is possible to bet on all markets during this time.
A few seconds before the first half begins, the Match and League betting markets will close. Match bets on future weeks are still possible at this time, but League bets for all weeks are disabled during game play. Second-half bets remain open at this time.
The Half Time period displays the current results of all six matches, and Second-half bets remain open until just before kick-off.
Once the match is finished, the Post-Match segment shows the final scores of all six matches, and all betting markets reopen.
How to check your history
You can check your bet history by choosing the 'Bet history' Tab. This will show you a list of all the bets you have placed with the following information:
Bet Type - If the bet is a accumulator, Single or any other type of bet.
Selection - Which selection or Selections you have placed the bet on.
Week Placed - Which week you have placed you bet on.
Stake - How much you have staked on the bet.
Odds - The odds you received for the bet.
Return - This will show you how much you received back from the bet, if the bet has not finished yet it will show 'Open', if the bet lost it will show 'Lost.

How do I get information about the league?
The League tab contains the information about the current standings of the league, and additional information about all teams and players of the league.

Can I cancel a bet once I click proceed?
No, once you click on proceed the bet will be automatically validated and stored on the Bookmaker’s system.

What happens when two teams have the same amount of points at the end of the season?
If any 2 or more teams have scored the same number of points their position in the league table shall be determined by goal difference (the difference between the total number of goals scored by and against a team that season). The team with the greatest goal difference will place higher in the league.
If any 2 or more teams have scored the same number of points and have the same goal difference the highest placed team shall be the team having scored the most goals that season.
Can I see the history of the league standings?
No, this is not currently available.

What resolution is the video available in?
It is 320x240 pixels
Can I watch the season games that I missed?
No, the games are streamed live. You can only watch the running game, but you can check the results of past games in the MATCHES tag.
Can I choose which match is broadcast on video?
No. Only the game marked with the camera icon will be shown.
Can you stop the video from running?
No, the video is automatic and will not stop running.
When is there live commentary on the matches?
The commentary of the video will be live in peak times, these will be advertised on the website.
Technical
What are the system requirements to watch Fantastic League?
You need an Internet connection of at least 256K bandwidth and enough free memory to allow the RealNetWorks to work.
You also need speakers, a sound card, 256 Mbytes of RAM minimum, Pentium III processor, a colour monitor, Explorer 5.5 with the Service pack 1 or Firefox navigator 1.5 and RealNetworks.
If the system does not have these requirements then it is possible that you will be unable to view the Fantastic League in full.
When I access the Fantastic League page nothing happens, what can I do?
It could be one of the following options:
a. Your internet connection is offline, in which case try to reconnect to your ISP.
b. You don’t have the adequate player; in this case you can download it from Real Networks at www.real.com
. Your internet connection does not have sufficient bandwidth. In this case verify that is correctly connected or try to contact your ISP.
I can see the video but it stops and says "buffering signal".
This might occur when the network is congested or your internet connection speed has dropped below an acceptable level, thus the player makes intermittent stops to store the video stream.
The video quality is poor.
This problem is normally attributed to certain video card drivers. In this case you can update them by:
a.Adjusting your screen to 24/32 bit true color
b.Closing any additional programs that you might have opened to free up memory for Fantastic League.
I can see the image, but I don’t hear any sound.
Check that your PC has a sound card to reproduce audio and that the volume of your speakers is turned up.
I can hear the audio but when I do it whistles and makes scratchy noises.
Verify that your sound card has the necessary drivers, and that they are up to date because a driver that is damaged or not updated properly can have problems with the compressed audio.
The web page does not update the data.
Check that your browser has javasript functions enabled.

Glossary
Season Status: Shows which season is currently being played. The results of previous seasons can be seen by selecting from the drop-down menu.
Week Status: The number in Yellow will show which week is currently playing. The dark blue boxes can be selected (to access the betting markets for future weeks) and they will turn green.
Help: Brings up the Help section.
Time bar: Countdown timer showing how long the Match, League and Second-Half betting markets will remain open, and the time remaining until the next match.
Time counter: Shows the time remaining in seconds.
Teams: Shows the badges and names of the teams that are currently playing.
Match: Shows the current match.
Betting Markets: Click to show the betting opportunities for the different markets: Match bets, Second-half bets and League bets. When a betting market is closed, the corresponding tab will turn red and will not be selectable.
Market definition: A list of the betting opportunities available in each market. Select an option to view the odds and choose bets.
Detailed information about markets: Gives the betting options to choose from. The user can click on the boxes (that contain the odds) to select the bet.
Betting Slip: Used to enter the stakes and place the bets. Select from the left hand box the type of bet desired (e.g. Single, Double, etc.). Enter the stake desired in the Stake box; the Total to stake and the Potential Return will fill in automatically. Finally, click on Proceed to confirm the bet. Click cancel to clear the betting slip without placing a bet. Note that once Proceed is clicked and the bet is accepted by the bookmaker, the bet cannot be cancelled.
Current Bets: Shows the bets that the punter has placed. Click on the bet name to bring up more information on the bet, including the results.
