What is Penalty Shoot-Out?
Ladbrokes Penalty Shoot-Out offers the excitement and realism you would expect from a Penalty Shoot-Out competition without the rainy terrace or soggy hot dog. Read the individual player information, check the weather, study the keeper's track record and make your judgement, will the player score? Will the keeper save? Or will the crowd be trying to catch the ball as it sails over the bar? Think you know it all, then have a side bet on where the player will shoot.
The Penalty Shoot Out Game
Five strikers line up for a Penalty Shoot-Out competition. Study the relevant information about the strikers and keeper, make an informed decision and place your bet. You also have the option to place further side bets on where the strike will cross the line.
Placing a strike bet
On the Bet Coupon, press the tick box for the bet you wish to place. You must place a bet, select a stake and then press submit.
Use the '+' and '-' buttons to change your stake. Once you are happy with all your bets, press 'Add to Bet Slip' to go to the Bet Slip. On the Bet Slip screen, you can press 'Back to Bet Coupon' to go back and alter your bets, or press 'Submit Bets' to confirm your bets.
Placing a Side Bet
Once you have chosen your strike bets and confirmed your selections on the Bet Slip, you get the option to place a Side Bet on the first strike you have placed a Strike Bet on. First select your unit stake by clicking the '+' and '-' buttons on the stake selector, then click within any of the nine strike zones to place your stake. You can change your unit stake and place as many side bets as you like. Click a strike zone again to clear the bet or press 'Clear All Bets' to clear all. View replay
Thanks to video technology, you have can see a replay of each strike and can choose slow motion, frame-by-frame view and even view a strike with the striker retouched out of the replay.
View previous results
During a match you can view the results from the previous strikes in a strike session. Click RESULTS on the header bar to view the results.
Game facts
The odds and chances for each striker to score are dependent on a number of factors. These will all have have an effect on the result of the strike, as well as the odds. The factors that have an effect on the performance of the goal keeper and/or the striker are:
- The striker will be judged on fitness, whether he's left or right footed, transfer fee and form (the result of previous 100 strikes).
